Priority 1: Mediterranean Zone
|
Is
interested to value and to strengthen the cultural,
social and institutional ties between the regions
of the MEDOCC area. Such Objective moreover is
aimed to strengthen economic integration in the
Mediterranean Zone in order to increase competitiveness
in this area.
In order to overcome the obstacles deriving from
the existence of organizations and heterogeneous
structures, this objective proposes two approaches
driven by territory:
- territory planning
(relations between Northern and Southern Europe,
Northern and Southern Mediterranean, and relations
between the islands)
- the economic development,
within the Barcelona Process framework, of
a Free Trade area for 2010.
