Priority 2: Strategy of territorial development
and urban systems
|
This
Objective means to improve the territorial development
and the urban systems, thanks to an intensive
strengthening of the transnational cooperation:
- At an area level
as a whole (planning perspectives),
- At a main city level
(re-balancing of the city structure);
- At a regional and
local level (valorisation of the local inheritage
through the exchange of experiences for a
long-lasting development of the territory);
- At an Insular
territories level (to improve their integration
inside of the MEDOCC area and the valorisation
of the specificity of the islands).

- Exchanges of experiences related
to the integrated management of
specific areas (islands, shorelines...).
- Realization of network connections
in order to reinforce the urban
areas of the rural laid back countries
presenting a devitalisation trend.
- Studies in order to characterize
the carrying fields and the synergies
in the MEDOCC area to underline
cooperation opportunities.
