  How to build a project: First steps
Interreg III B MEDOCC finances a high number of projects very different from one another:
An operating idea, a partnership proposed or a proposal for exchanging experiences. If you wish to realize a project or an initiative, it is sufficient to acquire information on the procedure to follow and the conditions requested for the presentation of the documentation.

Before requesting a subsidy for a project in the context of the Medocc programme, we invite you to read carefully the following documentation:

  • For those who would like to present a project, it is necessary to read the Vademecum in order to get an overview of the programme in general, to understand how it works, how to get started and to get familiar with the development of the project itself.

  • The Programme Opérationnel is the main document that defines the strategic issues and challenges that make up the Community Initiative Programme Medocc (CIP).

  • The Complément de Programmation introduces a list of possible actions regarding the respective Priorities and Measures and therefore determines if a project idea is eligible or not.
In order to know if a project idea or its draft can be admitted in the context of the Medocc programme, please find below some answers to some basic questions:

Who?

The Programme could allow project proposals coming from any kind or scenario, the beneficiaries of the projects are:

  • The public sector (national, regional and local);
  • The public agencies (university, centres of research...);
  • Private actors admissible to the public (see Programme Manual).

Which conditions?

For being selected a project has to respond to the eligibility criteria defined by the programme. Therefore a project has to:

  • Show a real transnational approach, involving partners from the various Member States of the MEDOCC area (and include, if possible, partners from the Southern and Eastern shores of the Mediterranean Sea).
  • Propose either a common solution to a common problem experienced by the various partners involved, it has to allow an exchange of experiences in order to better understand the various issues.
  • Introduce an innovative aspect through the production of added value (in particular regarding previous or already existing projects).
  • be carried out in the geaographic realm of the cooperation area.
  • Finally, the project cannot exceed a duration of three years and has to foresee a total cost, complementary financings excluded, between 300.000 € and 3.000.000 €.
