Specific information on the Member States

The INTERREG III B MEDOCC Programme comprises regions of seven different countries: Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
Switzerland is moreover a country associated to the Programme.

Spain: Six regional autonomies and two independent cities: Andalusia, Aragon, Catalonia, Balearic islands, Murcia, Valence, Ceuta and Melilla.
France: Four regions: Corsica, Languedoc-Rousillon, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Rhône-Alpes.
Greece: the whole territory.
Italy: Thirteen regions: Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Umbria, Piedmont, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany, Val d'Aosta.
Malta: The whole territory.
Portugal: Two regions: Algarve & Alentejo.
United Kingdom: Gibraltar.
Switzerland: associated to the Programme.

In this section, you can get an overview of the Medocc area by discovering the diverse cultural, economic and social aspects that make up the regions of the programme.
Despite the compartmental geographical division of this area and its variety, undeniable historical and cultural similarities exist between these Mediterranean regions.

The information on the Member States in this section, though not exhaustive, is however a starter to get familiar with the richness and heritage of the Medocc area.
